  Welcome to Community Academy of Philadelphia - CAP Home
Community Academy of Philadelphia (CAP), a Pennsylvania Charter School, was one of the first Pennsylvania schools to receive a charter in 1997, the first to graduate a high school class, and one of the first five charter schools founded in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
CAP is accredited Pre-K to grade 12 by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Committee on Institution-Wide Accreditation.
Community Academy is divided into three divisions, the lower school (day care/pre-K to 4) [FYI, pre-K is limited to children in our in-house day care], the Alberta Dilonardo Proietta middle school (5-8), and upper school (9-12).
