Acadian (automobile) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Acadian was a make of automobile produced by General Motors of Canada from 1962 to 1971.
Both Acadians and Beaumonts were sold by Pontiac dealers, but they were considered as separate makes, not Pontiac models.
The Acadian continued using the Chevy II/Nova bodies through mid 1971, after which it was replaced by the Pontiac Ventura II.

Creole VS Cajun - There is a Difference
The Acadian pioneers were characterized by individualism, adaptability, pragmatism, industriousness, egalitarian principles, and an ability to pull together when threatened.
The Acadians were typically non-materialistic, seeking only economic independence and a decent standard of living through an agrarian way of life.
The Acadians having been farmers most of their lives, were unwilling to abandon the independence they were accustomed to and adapt to France's feudal system.

When the Acadians hold their closing show in Halifax, Matt, like countless others who share her lineage, plans to hold high a red, white and blue Acadian flag.
When the Acadians gathered in 1884 during the second convention at Miscouche on Prince Edward Island, they adopted the Acadian flag, which resembles the flag of France with its blue, white and red colors but with a golden star added.
Although initial gatherings primarily drew local crowds, they spurred the Acadians to define themselves and to plan a series of Acadian World Congress gatherings that were held from the end of the 20th century into the 21st century.
