The whole second half of the book is devoted to the T54/T55 based ACHZARIT APC and is worth the price of the book alone with the first half just being a bonus.
The remaining photos are again all two to a page for good detail with informative captions and show the Achzarit on various training maneuvers.

It is analogous to the Achzarit but is basde upon the Centurion hull.

Instead of having all fl and white photographs and a colour plate section in the middle of the book, most photographs are in colour and the plates relating to each vehicle can be found within the appropriate text section.
The only exception is the Achzarit cutaway plate, which is in the usual position on the centre pages.
This new layout is a vast improvement, and even if colour photographs aren’t available for all future subjects I hope that future books will follow it as far as possible.

enables the reduction in the budget for the maintenance of the Achzarit fleet.
Not all Achzarits were modified, so building it in both versions, is correct for the present.

The Golani Brigade is using a different vehicle, the Achzarit Infantry Armored Fighting Vehicle (AIFV) which is based on a modified T-55 chassis.
Further additions to the IDF order of battle are the introduction of armored wheeled vehicles, these will probably be the new 8x8 Stryker APC currently being procured for the US Army but the IDF decision has yet to be made.
