		Acoustic is a compilation album of John Lennon demos, studio and live performances that feature his acoustic guitar work and was released in 2004.
		Nine of its sixteen recordings were previously released in 1998 on the John Lennon Anthology box set - a decision that was criticised by critics and fans - while the remaining inclusions had been bootlegged for years.
		Although it failed to chart in the UK, Acoustic reached #31 in the US, becoming John Lennon's best charting US release since 1988's Imagine: John Lennon soundtrack album.

	Shaved Fish - John Lennon Album Review
		This greatest hits album came out in 1975 and covers only some of John Lennon's best solo material while excluding all of his work with the Beatles.
		The only real disappointment found on this LP is the song chosen to kick-off the album, "Give Peace A Chance", which was recorded live in a hotel room with many of Lennon's friends.
		Overall, some of Lennon's best songs are found on here (as should be the case with all greatest hits albums) including the world's greatest ever peace song "Imagine".

		Recorded during Lennon's "lost weekend", while he was separated from Yoko Ono, he seems to lose a bit of his inspiration with her gone, even thought one or two of the songs are about her.
		The one thing about this entire album is that Lennon's voice sounds great, as usual, and why some of the poorer songs rate as high as they do.

		Granted, the sound quality of Acoustic is occasionally ramshackle and suspect, and not surprisingly, the various renditions are vastly inferior to their finished counterparts.
		Still, stripping away the polish and perfection places Lennon’s compositions within an entirely different context; that is: it exposes them to be not the work of a godlike former Beatle, but of a singer, a songwriter, and a fallible human being.
