		Paul Gilbert's live acoustic album recorded at the Hard Rock Cafe in Tokyo finally sees a domestic mid price release courtesy of those good folks at Mascot Records.
		Acoustic Samurai sees Gilbert play a collection of tracks from his past solo releases as well as some cuts from Racer X and a couple of covers including a good take on Abba's Dancing Queen joined only by Linus Of Hollywood on bass and backing vocals.
		Those expecting an acoustic shred album are in for somewhat of a shock as this sees Pablo Gilberto focus on the song.

		Lo scandalo non è tanto nella qualità o meno della musica contenuta in questo infimo "Acoustic Samurai", ma la vera pecca è una scialba dimostrazione di pigrizia, di inventiva, di originalità e anche di professionalità.
		Non definirei le "canzonette" come creature solo ed escusivamente punk,perchè il vero punk è quello che in un certo senso và contro il commercio e le canzonette stesse..
		Acoustic Samurai non ha canzoni eccelse ma è un album suonato divinamente e Paul mette tutta l'anima sulle corde.

		As a long time fan of Paul Gilbert, and having been immensley impressed by his "Acoustic Hotel" giveaway CD that came with his greatest hits album "Paul The Young Dude" - I simply had to get this album as soon as I heard it had been released.
		Throw in a quircky but thoroughly enjoyable rendition of Abbas Dancing Queen, a Racer X track, and a jaw dropping acoustic Scarified, and this disk comes highly recommended.
		I would however say that this disk is for PG fans only and is perhaps not the best place to start if you are new to his music.
