The tulaberries plot seemed goofy; I didn't realize then that we were being set up for the (clunky) advent of The Dominion, so in a way this is the most important episode of DS9's early seasons.

Instead, it features the launch not of Enterprise but of Columbia, the younger sister and rather than being the pilot, it is one of the show's final episodes - as the promos now trumpet with glee-like excitement.
The Rules of Acquisition and the Nagus were mentioned in that one episode where they brought back the Ferengi from "The Price" [TNG].
And one would have thought, that given the sheer amount of plot that was crammed into this episode, that it would have been severely hard to follow, and overly complex.

Sci Fi Pulse Message Board (RE: So What Do You All Think Of Enterprise Thus Far.)
In the upcoming episode "Acquisition," the crew never finds out the pirates are Ferengi, still allowing official first contact to take place in the TNG episode "The Last Outpost." As for the Romulans, we all have to wait and see on that one.
My favorite episodes to date have been "Cold Front" and "Dear Doctor." The cast members are now somewhat developed and are gradually finding their niche.
So far the episodes have been up and down for me. Other than some of the "rehashed plots" that they used..overall I am enjoying the series.

Stever also hints that DS9 regular Rene Auberjonois ('Odo') will have a role in an episode entitled "Oasis," airing after "Acquisition." Previously, game show host Tom Bergeron reported that he would guest in an episode entitled "Osmosis" (story), so it is possible that this may be the same episode with titular confusion.
This confirms that "Silent Enemy" was the lowest rated ENT episode of the season to date and that ENT has officially lost 51% of its viewers since the premiere of the series pilot, "Broken Bow", on September 26 of last year.
During the episode, Archer and Mayweather befriend several of their fellow Suliban prisoners and are told about the species' past.

Photogenic, Schizophrenic You: Captain Archer, Season Two
I enjoyed "Acquisition," "Desert Crossing," "Two Days and Two Nights," and "Stigma." (However, all those episodes featured Trip, which probably colors my opinion entirely out of objectivity.) "Shockwave part 1" had enormous potential, and Bakula's anguish was very real.
ENT's scripts aren't consistent from episode to episode, and more often than not, the very poorest writing comes from the hands of current Trek franchise lords Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.
Actually, this self-centeredness pops up again in the otherwise good episode "Stigma." Archer acts petulant and personally insulted at first that T'Pol chose not to share her medical condition with him, and that Phlox was respecting doctor-patient confidentiality.

This wretched facet of the character dominates the horrendous "A Night in Sickbay," about which I'll only say here that Bakula deserves a medal for going through with it without throttling his bosses, and that I didn't think any single episode of Trek could be worse than VOY's "Good Shepherd" -- but I was wrong.

 The Trek Nation - Acquisition
Long-time Trekkers might have been pleased by the cast list for 'Acquisition,' but because the makeup is so heavy and the first several minutes of the episode feature only Ferengi dialogue, it's rather hard to figure out who's who by face or voice.
We hear Rules of Acquisition, we learn that latinum has been gold-pressed for centuries.
I should admit that I didn't much care for Ferengi episodes on the three previous Trek shows to feature the aliens, though I didn't dislike them either.

Posted - September 03 2004 : 09:28:58 AM Interesting enough, one of the Ferengi (the guy who plays the Grand Nagus - sorry Acting Grand Nagus), was another Ferengi on that Enterprise episode "Acquisition" where the chief engineer has to stop those aliens wearing only blue underwear.
And didn't have Enterprise an episode (the series is pretty new here, we aren't even halfway through the first season I think) were the crew is surprised by Ferengis and they actually pose a small threat?
Posted - September 03 2004 : 09:34:01 AM The Acting Grand Nagus stick not only looks like the Aztec/Maya/Inca mask, but it also kinda looks like a ferengi charicature of Leonard Nemoy.

It would be difficult to imagine a Star Trek universe without the many characters Jeffrey Combs has brought to life, including his most recent role as Shran, the cantankerous Andorian commander who maintains a prickly but respectful relationship with Captain Jonathan Archer on Star Trek: Enterprise.
And, in the Little Known Trivia Department, Combs was in the running to play Commander William Riker when Star Trek: The Next Generation was first cast.

Star Trek: “Metamorphosis” (Nov 10, 1967): This episode introduced the concept of the “universal translator.” This handy device renders linguists unnecessary, as it automatically translates every nuance of language on the basis of a set of universal concepts (one of which is the distinction between male and female, which even sapient energy clouds share).
