		The statue of a Kansa Indian -- named for the state's Latin motto, "Ad Astra per Aspera," or, "To the Stars Through Difficulties" -- was hoisted into place atop the Statehouse dome early Monday afternoon as thousands of spectators cheered, believing they had witnessed history.
		Bill Graves, Richard Bergen, "Ad Astra" sculptor and several Topekans who witnessed the statue being placed atop the Statehouse.
		As the sun set on the Statehouse, its dome was without "Ad Astra." Five of 17 bolts that attached the statue didn't match up properly.
