Adam Asnyk - Plagiarism on Wikipedia
Adam Asnyk (born September 11, 1838 in Kalisz, died August 2, 1897 in Krakow), was a Polish poet and dramatist.
What linked Asnyk's philosophy to the latter was the pragmatism of thinking, the admiration for the achievements of modern natural sciences and the right to common development.
In Asnyk's literary output a patriotic note is always present, advocating a belief in the nation's strength and the possibility of regaining independence, a note which is polemical with the conservative programme of agreement (W 25 rocznicę powstania 1863).

During the Revolution of 1848, Poles were present wherever battles were fought against the "order of the Holy Alliance": in Italy (Adam Mickiewicz and Wojciech Chrzanowski), Germany (Wiktor Heltman, Ludwik Mieroslawski, Franciszek Sznajde), Austria (Jozef Bem) and in Hungary (Bem, Henryk Dembinski, Jozef Wysocki).
