 Adamantine Particles
We believe that quantum physicists have already proven the existence of adamantine particles; however, they have given different names to these fundamental particles, some of the names are: electrons, quarks, muons, neutrinos, etc. this happens due to the fact that some of these scientists are based in different countries and are funded by diverse organizations.
The term particle is used in the context of subatomic particles, thus adamantine particles are subatomic in size and nature.
Francisco Rosero believes that adamantine particles are fundamental particles of matter and energy that are not yet properly identified by scientists; most probably, quantum physicists have already discovered these particles and have named them differently; it is also quite possible that our current scientific approach does not allow them to fully understand its characteristics.

Adamantine is an alloy that is "baked" in especially strong magical currents for years, essentially if you reshape the adamantine the quality of the alloy vanishes and the material is now worth less than aluminium.
Drow craftsmen, armorers, and wizards have developed careful processes to expose the materials from which these items are made to a specific combination of radiations and enchanted materials, and to handle the raw material in exacting, largely seret ways.
Its high-end value per pound is 5,000 gp times the purity of the ore (an ore that is 10% adamantium would be worth about 500 gp per pound), for light rocks and low-end value per pound is 2,500 gp times the purity of the ore (for heavy rocks).

Also, for those saying that adamantine armor is useless in the Armor as DR variant, I suggest you go re-read your DMG, adamantine grants a DR x/- to armor depending on what size it is. DR of the same type stacks.
So, a suit of adamantine fullplate in the Armor as DR variant would have a armor bonus of +4 and a DR value of 7/-, pretty sweet imo.
He would get DR 6 unless the weapon was adamantine, but would still get the same minimum DR 4 any full plate gets against every weapon.
