		The mood was somewhat surprising, considering Adema is a band with something to prove.
		This Roxy show was one of a few club dates that Adema is doing before they embark on a co-headlining tour with Powerman 5000, and the setting allowed them to really cut loose and test the new material.
		Adema started the set with a handful of new songs from their new album, Unstable.

		André De Maertelaere (pseudonym: adema) was born in 1954 in Gent, Belgium and completed his education in arts at the Academy Sint Lucas in Gent.

		Adema is full of slightly mannered angst, as well as the usual mixture of portentous ballads and thunderous hard rock tracks, often with a decidedly thrashy edge.
		Mark Chavez manages to growl ferociously even on the tender slow songs ("Speculum"), and he has a fascination with death that, even for a hardcore act, is pronounced ("I wish I could watch you drowning / And die" is one of the disc's many such touching couplets).

		I can not claim to be an Adema fan, since this is the only cd I like.
		Maybe that's a good thing for a bar band, but Adema has solid musicians that deserve to be themselves not Korn Jr.
		There are five 5 star song on this abum and if you think that Chavez was the band and you are unwilling to listen to Adema now with Luke Caraccioli's voice I would say that you never were a Adema fan - you were just a Korn Jr.
