Domingos Antônio da Guia (born in Rio de Janeiro, November 19, 1912 – dead in Rio, May 18, 2000), nicknamed the "the Divine Master" was a Brazilian footballer.
He came to the world's attention in the 1938 FIFA World Cup finals, where he was the lynch pin of Brazil's defence.
Domingo's son Ademir da Guia also played for Bangu 1959-1961 before becoming at idol at São Paulo's Palmeiras.

Many people said that Ademir, who led Palmeiras to bi-championship of the Brazilian tournament in 1972 and 1973, should have played more in the Cup; he only played in the last match, against Poland.

Domingos da Guia was father of Ademir da Guia, who would be with the Brazilian team in the 1974 World Cup, in Germany.
This was the only case of a father and his son playing for the main National football team in Brazil.

I think Ademir da Guia is the Ademir who played in Palmeiras in the late 60's eartly 70's.
