Fans and officials already hoped for this in 1988 when a fire destroyed two adjacant rinks that were used as a talent-school for hockey in Mannheim and Germany.
Cheering goal after goal is quiet exhausting as well and when things don´t go well the fans tend to relax a bit as well, at least as long as the effort displayed is okay.

Samuel Adler was born in Mannheim, Germany, in 1928 and came to the United States in 1939.
Adler's catalog includes over 400 published works in all media including five operas, six symphonies, eight string quartets, eight concerti (organ, piano, violin, cello, flute, guitar, saxophone quartet, woodwind quintet), many shorter orchestral works, works for wind ensemble and band, chamber music, a great deal of choral music and songs.
Adler retired from Eastman in 1994 to become Professor Emeritus of that institution.

mannheim still is short some players - especially on defense - for a championship run and the seemingly desperate acquisition of old goalie chabot doesn't change this picture, too.
BTW,odds in Ukraine on Mannheim are dropped from 1.8 to 1.65...
