		The fact that his son would rather face death than turn to his side was a shock to him, which is why he forgot Piett's punishment (or just didn't care to punish him).
		I meant the part where Vader asks Piett, "Did your men deactivate the hyperdrive on the Millenium Falcon?" or something along the lines, and Piett answers "yes".
