Born at Hautvillers, in the department of Marne, Didron began his education as a student of law.

So maybe yes the ritual value that ART once held may be diminished, but we can say that for most of our rituals today.
Compare the inauguration of a President today with the crowning of Napoleon for instance or compare a Medieval Catholic mass and a Protestant Sunday service.
Perhaps the seemingly dispensable appearance of art today is only a result of its neglect.
