Ontario Provincial Highway #33 is a provincially maintained highway in Eastern Ontario, Canada.
Highway 33 currently runs from the Ontario Provincial Highway 62 junction in Bloomfield, Prince Edward County to the Collins Bay Rd. Junction at Collins Bay in the City of Kingston.
The highway was extended on Apirl 11th, 1934 to Carrying Place, Ontario, then on July 4th, 1934 to Glenora, Ontario and from Amherstview, Ontario to Kingston, Ontario, then on July 11th, 1934 from Adolphustown, Ontario to Amherstview, Ontario.

Barker of Kingston, Post-office Inspector for the eastern division of Ontario, was here yesterday, and many of the inhabitants of the place had the pleasure of seeing a man whom they never saw before, although he has been a long time in office.
The leader of the Adolphustown settlers, Major Peter Vanalstine, was appointed to the command of the company before they sailed from New York in the fall of 1783.

This was done to honour the United Empire Loyalists who first settled this area of Ontario, and the official opening was done by Queen Elizabeth II when she visited Kingston during Ontario's bicentennial celebrations that year.
Highway 33 has 2 sections, which are joined by the Glenora Ferry, an auto ferry crossing the Bay of Quinte from Glenora, Ontario to Adolphustown, Ontario.
The section of the highway between Kingston and Glenora is particularly scenic as it runs along the shore of Lake Ontario.

Bateaux are uniquely linked to the Loyalists of the Bay of Quinte, their movements during the American Revolution and their settlement of what became the Province of Ontario.
The historic plaque at the U.E.L. Heritage Centre and Park in Adolphustown, Ontario reads: On June 16, 1784, a party of some 250 United Empire Loyalists landed from bateaux near this site and established the first permanent white settlement in Adolphustown Township.
Hawley’s house is historically designated on the main street of Bath, Ontario (Loyalist Parkway) and is one the oldest inhabited dwellings in the province.
