Mantegna's life long passion for Classical antiquity was given ample early nourishment through the archaeological interests of his master, the abundance of Roman remains in northern Italy and the humanistic atmosphere generated by the local university of Padua.
Mantegna's earliest independent commission was for the fresco decorations of the Ovetari Chapel of the Eremitani Church in Padua (1459, largely destroyed in the Second World War).

During the long time Andrea Mantegna lived in Mantova (the photo represent his house) he painted the Chapel of St. George's Castle, of which now only the triptych remains with the Adoration of the Magi, Presentation in the tample(Firenze, Uffizi) and the "Virgin's death"(Madrid, Prado).
Mantegna accomplished many other masterpieces such as the Madonna of the Vistory (Louvre, Paris), the Triumph of Cesare and two paintings of St. Sebastian through which he clearly influenced the Renaissance picture.

The beginning, about Francesco before he became duke, and all of the information about Milan after the fall of Ludovico were interesting but not especially valuable.
