For those who aren't into good ol' rock n' roll with a little bit of rapping on the side, this album may not be for you.
The album opener "One Step Hyper," the techno-flavored anthem "Revolution," and "Life"(a song stressing the issue of one's mortality and how life passes us by if we don't watch what we say and do), all contain pop/rock elements along with some rap vocals by frontman Mark Stuart.
Probably the best song on the album would be "P.D.A.," another rap lyric-fused pop/rock song about displaying the love of God to those we come in contact with and not keeping it to ourselves.

For better or worse, this is who Audio Adrenaline is, four guys from the Midwest driven by faith to spread the gospel to the far ends of the earth no matter how long it takes.
Like any album they have recorded before, Audio Adrenaline insists that it be down to earth and contain songs that can relay a servant’s heart to their audience.
Audio Adrenaline has a calling on their life and that call is to tell as many people as they can about the wonderful gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Jesusfreakhideout.com: Audio Adrenaline, "Live Bootleg" Review
This album is definitely recomended for established Audio Adrenaline fans who want a taste for the power and excitement of an Audio Adrenaline concert.
Since the album came out after only two other Audio Adrenaline albums, all the other songs except one are from Don't Censor Me, which to be honest isn't the kind of album that screams "Play me live!".
Maybe the album would have fared better if it was made later, but despite its flaws, the album is still a must buy for Audio Adrenaline fans, as well as anyone who just wants to enjoy the excitement of an Audio Adrenaline concert.

 Jesusfreakhideout.com: Audio Adrenaline, "Underdog" Review
Instead of going into the studio and recording for a few weeks with a renowned producer, the band decided to spend more time on the project and the results are obvious.
The first radio single off the album, "Get Down," sort of a "Big House 2" for the band, has literally replaced "Big House" as their encore/close out live number.
In fact, they redo their famous "DC-10" off the same album in a 'swingabilly' style that will have old AA fans doing double-takes when they hear it.

Fourth album by unique London-based band probably best known for their song 'Woke Up This Morning', which became a runaway smash hit after being used as the theme to the TV show 'The Sopranos'.
The sound on this album is somewhere between Exile On Coldhardbour Lane and La Peste, and brilliant for it.
Sadly, some of the gospel flavor that infused their first two albums, is less evident here, but if you are in the mood for some sweet sweet country with an eccentric edge, then you have fond your band.

Most people will tell you that this is their heaviest album, but truth is, it isn't that heavy at all.
Saying that, this album isn't bad as say Linkin Park or Nickelback (few are), but it has a lot of hype to live up and simply doesn't deliver.
Saying that though, this album does evoke a raw intensity that is missing from bands that were influenced by the Deftones, such as Linkin Park.

Jamsline Biography - Audio Adrenaline   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
While the band's focus has always touched on themes of missions and outreach, Audio Adrenaline has never been more aggressive in communicating that message than they are now, with the release of their new album, Worldwide.
Stylistically, Worldwide comes full circle with the heavy-hitting album closers, "Start a Fire" and "Worldwide Two," completing a package that is nothing more than a pure rock and roll album to its core, hearkening back to the days of the band's gold-selling album, BloOm.
Audio Adrenaline has continued to build an ever-widening fan base over the years, and that exposure was magnified in 2001 through the band's high-profile stint on the innovative Festival Con Dios Tour, the traveling outdoor festival Audio Adrenaline co-headlined with the Newsboys and the O.C. Supertones.

Audio Adrenaline, unfortunately, is one of those bands that just doesn't appeal to me anymore, despite the fact that they used to be one of my personal favorites.
But Audio Adrenaline came up with it first (as far as I know), so it's only fair to give them credit, as the foresight and creativity shown on their album artwork is really quite impressive.
And while none of their albums truly stand out as great, Some Kind of Zombie comes pretty close, with only one or two truly bad songs, and enough inspired moments to make this truly an album that deserves your attention.

Deftones : Adrenaline - Listen, Review and Buy at ARTISTdirect   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
Adrenaline is an appropriate title for this, the Deftones' debut album, as all ten tracks explode with repressed energy.
If there is a weakness to Adrenaline, it is that there is a bit of sameness in Chino Moreno's whispered vocal melodies, which drags the record down a bit.
On later albums, the band's progressive tendencies become more developed, but the more straight-ahead material on Adrenaline does not disappoint.

Also notable is the emotional ballad that closes out the album, "Lose Control." This song ends the album with a sobering look at being entirely depleted of the people and things we count on in life and turning to God who controls all circumstances.
Certainly there are glimpses of this flavor on the album, specifically in the opening "Clap Your Hands" and the would-be title track, "Undefeated," but this energy is largely absent from the overall mix.
Audio Adrenaline doesn't appear to be going away any time soon, but they do seem to be slowly transforming into a different band than we all remember from their earlier days.

 Adrenaline by Deftones CD
Vocalist Chino Moreno was one of the first alternative/metal singers to specialize in the sing/scream style that would become prevalent by the late '90s, while guitarist Stephen Carpenter specialized in repetitive, mammoth guitar riffs that were comparable to both Black Sabbath and Soundgarden.

As album 1 of the deftones many, this album is somewhat repetitive, but you have to remeber it is thier first album.

 KENTUCKY KERNEL -- Wednesday, November 19, 1997
Pearl Jam's Ten was one of the first albums that successfully incorporated heavy instrumentation with powerful, disturbing lyrics and created the Seattle "grunge" sound.
The album's title track combines ripping guitar licks and pounding drums with mood-building classical string arrangements which accelerate and decelerate the song and build an aura of mystery and strength.
On the whole, the album's song selection is very balanced and each song retains individuality.

Who would have thought that this album would create a new era in metal, make five young men extremely rich and create so much of a phenomenon back in the good old days of 1995.
Sure, the Deftones became huge with the success of both their 'Around The Fur'; and 'White Pony' albums, and this too is most definately a brilliant, not quite classic, album.
Compared to the way their more reacent songs are, everything on Adrenaline is very heavy, dark and most definately moody.
