Adrenochrome is an intermediate for adrenochrome monosemicarbazone and adrenochrome monoaminoguanidine known as hemostatics.
Adrenochrome monoaminoguanidine and adrenochrome monosemicarbazone are useful as hemostatics and these hydrazine derivatives serve both for stabilization of adrenochrome and the preparation of useful medicines.
Adrenochrome monoaminoguanidine and adrenochrome monosemicarbazone obtained utilizing the process of the present invention are far less colored than those prepared by the method using potassium ferricyanide.

 Adrenochrome
Adrenochrome is an oxidation byproduct of adrenaline that acts as a psychoactive drug.
To be used as a recreational drug, it would be likely that a variant called adrenochrome semicarbazone would be used, delivered by alcohol, fat, or (vegetable) oil to aid in absorption due to poor solubility in water.
Adrenochrome is also a Pascal based programming language currently under development and scheduled for release later in 2004, attributing it's name as an homage to both Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas as well as the song Teachers/Adrenochrome by The Sisters of Mercy.

They hypothesized that in schizophrenics adrenaline may be metabolized into adrenochrome and remain in that stage for abnormal periods, causing psychotic distortions.
These quinone intermediates undergo irreversible 1,4-intramolecular cyclization through nucleophilic attack of the nitrogen at the 6 position of the ring, forming unstable leucoaminochromes, which are rapidly oxidized to aminochromes by either an oxidizing species in the solution, or another molecule of an ortho-quinone.
After the studies by Hoffer and Osmond it remained to be proved that adrenochrome is formed in vivo.

 Schizophrenia and lung cancer
Hoffer and Foster now propose that schizophrenia is associated with high blood levels of the hallucinogen adrenochrome, which is formed by oxidation of adrenaline (epinephrine).
In conclusion, the new hypothesis suggests that schizophrenia is linked to excessive levels of adrenochrome, which can be reduced by treatment with niacin and coenzyme Q10.
Conversely, high adrenochrome levels may help retard tumor growth and may be induced by treatment with drugs that promote the oxidation of adrenaline to adrenochrome.

The Adrenochrome EP contains 5 quite distinctive tracks which showcases Madrox's quite original approach to constructing his beats.
Whereas the majority of artists will liberate sounds from Funk, Soul and other more generally known sources of breaks, Madrox chooses his own route and is taking 80's synth pop and rejuvenating it into dope Hip Hop with an obvious UK tint.
