A PUBLIC school apologised yesterday after a Conservative MP was criticised for taking part in a charity stunt in which he was hooded and kidnapped by masked pupils posing as terrorists.
Adrian Flook, MP for Taunton, Somerset, was bundled into the back of a van by members of a Combined Cadet Force from the private boarding college Taunton School.
Mr Flook has attracted criticism for his part in the stunt, which was branded "tasteless" by campaigners.

Date with Sven for MP TAUNTON MP Adrian Flook has met England manager Sven Goran Eriksson ahead of next month's European Football Championship in Portugal.
Mr Flook has also spoken to FA security adviser Sir John Stevens, who told him everything possible would be done to ensure the safety of travelling fans, including many from Somerset.

Anti-war campaigners said the event mimicked kidnappings in Iraq, such as that of the Liverpool engineer Ken Bigley, who was kidnapped and executed by a terrorist group last year.
Headmaster Dr John Newton said: "Following the mock kidnap of MP Mr Adrian Flook last week, Taunton School wishes to apologise for any offence the event may have caused and for the embarrassment suffered by Mr Flook."
