Aegis Defence Services is a London, U.K. –based private military contractor with overseas offices in Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the USA.
Aegis would not confirm that its employees were involved in the incidents shown in the videos, but was reported to be taking legal action against Stoner for breach of confidence, breach of contract and copyright infringement.
Aegis chief executive is Lt-Col. Tim Spicer (who founded Sandline International) and the chairman of the Aegis board of directors is former Chief of the Defence Staff, Field Marshal Peter Inge.

Among problems cited in the audit were that Aegis could not provide the correct documents to show its employees were qualified to use weapons and many Iraqi employees were not properly vetted to ensure they were not a security threat.
Aegis records did not indicate employees were trained for more than half of these weapons, the audit said.
