„Tallinn on saarel tehtud heakorratööde korraldamisega näidanud, et hoolib Aegna saare käekäigust ning olen kindel, et linnaisad suudavad sealse looduskeskkonna kaitsmist-hooldamist linlaste vaba aja veetmise soovidega ühitada,“ ütles Reiljan.
Aegna saart linna omandisse taotleda otsustas Tallinna volikogu k.a.
„Aegna saare ja mandri vaheline ühendus peab saama pealinna ühistranspordi osaks,“ kinnitas kohtumisel Toomas Vitsut.
Viimsi is developing into a mini resort, with a growing number of hotels for those who prefer a bit of peace and quiet and also a couple of museums.
Visit the old fishermens island of Aegna, favoured by party bureaucrats in the Soviet era, or you can visit the peaceful, unspoilt and more interesting Naissaar(Womens Island).
Aegna, a favourite of native Tallinners, has a nice sandy beach and is fun for mushrooming and berry-picking.

The planned route was to go west from the island Aegna to Pirita harbour and passport-control.
I had previously been racing at the Aegna marathon at windsurfing Baltic-cup finals in Tallin, and recalled that it was too shallow between Aegna and Estonian coast at the east side.
We got to the nice sandy beach of Aegna, took a breath, checked the map and got confimed that we must go by the western route.

The Aegna Marathon is a long distance course race, where both serious sportsmen and beginners can compete together.
Normally, the distance to Aegna and back is 24 kilometers...
Furthermore, varying wind strengths across the course (over 20 knots at the start and then calm waters out beside Aegna Island) made it a tough battle for the competitors.
On the island of Aski there were two labyrinths, which they made drawings of, while on Aegna there was one.
The labyrinth (or labyrinths) on Prangli, mentioned by Peter Mey in 1931, were not known by the local population on the island.
A partly preserved labyrinth on Aegna island, near Tallinn, was mentioned by Peter Mey in his article in the Päevaleht newspaper in 1931.

The Aegna Marathon is a course race windsurfing competition, where both serious sportsmen, as well as beginners can compete with each other.
The distance to Aegna and back is 24 kilometers, but this time windsurfers had to cover more than 60 kilometers because of the wind conditions.
When the start was given, then the wind was strong (10-11 m/sec) and waves high, but soon the wind dropped and beside Aegna island the water was almost calm.

Sami suggested that we pass Aegna from the east, which would have been a nice shortcut for us.

There are different destinations to choose from - Naissaar, Aegna and other islands and also things to do when there.
It is possible to have a picnic on the island before returning to the mainland.
TALLINN - Clean-up ships swarmed the Bay of Tallinn on March 17 after the Estonian Border Guard detected large amounts of shore-bound oil floating in from the Gulf of Finland.
Finnish vessels gathered about two tons of spilled oil in an area situated between the Gulf of Finland islands Naissaar and Aegna near Tallinn by the afternoon of March 17.
But a pollution reconnaissance flight carried out on March 19 showed that in several places the oil slick from Runner 4, a freight ship sailing under the Domican flag, had arrived within less than 100 meters of the Estonian shore.
