Aero spokesman Vitezslav Kulich said the company will supply 210 units of gun bay doors to Boeing between 2006 and 2010.
Kulich said Aero won similar a contract with Boeing in 2001, under which it supplied 150 units of the gun bay doors.

Boeing, CSA and Aero Vodochody have been working together since May 1997 when the Czech government selected what was then the Boeing-McDonnell Douglas-CSA tender offer to become the Czech firm's strategic partner.

The company’s board of directors decided to cut about 200 administrative and production employees from a total workforce of 2,124.The manufacturer, which is 35 percent owned by Boeing, specializes in manufacturing a line of military aircraft, most notably the L-159 subsonic jet trainer, but in the business aviation world, co-sponsors the Ibis Aircraft project.
Aero will deliver the last of 72 L-159s ordered by the Defense Ministry for the Czech air force in 2007.

In April 2002, on behalf of and support to AERO Vodochody's pursuit of overseas markets, the Boeing Company, minority shareholder of Aero, successfully obtained an export authorization in the form of a data marketing license for the L-159 aircraft to India under US export licensing regulations for marketing and sales of military equipment.
The license allowed Aero to provide sufficient technical data to the Ministry of Defense of India to make a decision to purchase L-159 aircraft.
