 Introduction to Aerobatics
Aerobatic pilots must stay in reasonably good physical condition and gradually develop (and then fly regularly to maintain) G tolerance.
Aerobatic competitors and airshow pilots choreograph their flights with the Aresti System, named after Don Jose Luis Aresti Aguirre, the Spanish pilot who invented the "Aresti Aerocriptographic System." The beginning of each maneuver is designated by the fl circle.
For the purposes of this section, aerobatic flight means an intentional maneuver involving an abrupt change in an aircraft's attitude, an abnormal attitude, or abnormal acceleration, not necessary for normal flight.

Aerobatics is the art of precision flying where pre-set patterns are drawn in the sky by the aeroplane.
Also people often interchange aerobatics and pattern when talking about aerobatics as aerobatics is about flying patterns in the sky.
Standard is the entry level to aerobatics and aims to help develop the main elements that most manoeuvres contain such as loops, rolls, vertical flight, level flight and inverted flight.

Hummingbird and the Psychology of Aerobatics
Aerobatics today has its roots in the powerful symbol of the military “dogfight.”; The aerobatic biplanes are configured identically to WW1 fighters; a Pitts is nothing more than a compact, slightly modernized Sopwith Camel, Fokker D7, or Spad.
Aerobatics is free and precise maneuvering on three axes, in three dimensions in space, relying upon classical physics and interaction with the atmosphere.
Hummingbird is the first of a new breed of specialized aerobatic aircraft, divorced of military connections, built solely and simply to maneuver freely and precisely in the sky.

 Why Fly Aerobatics
One essential to all who fly aerobatics is love of cutting through the air in way that most never experience, seeking a freedom in release, in motion for its own sake.
They are also possessed of some of the attributes we label high performance, which means they roll fast and may have quick, sometimes unannounced, stall characteristics. That being the case, sport pilots are depending on the inherent stability of their airplane and their own luck to avoid bad situations.
The second category where aerobatic skills fit and where they are necessary is in preventing dangerous situations from developing, chief among them being stall spin accidents and attitude upsets (the infamous airliner vortex scenario).

Aerobatics (sometimes called stunt) is one of the most colourful and popular competitions for control line model aircraft in Australia.
Contestants in aerobatics competitions are required to fly their planes through a series of prescribed maneouvres that can be assessed and scored by a panel of judges.
In the year 2001 control line aerobatics competitions are still flown regularly in and around Sydney, boosted by a handicapping system that gives many pilots a chance of winning.
