Aerojet-General Corp. v. American Excess Ins. Co,
The demurrer was sustained on the ground that Aerojet' s present action for declaratory relief was barred by principles of res judicata as a result of an earlier declaratory judgment that had concluded that Aerojet was not entitled to relief from the same defendants.
Aerojet contends, however, that a judgment in a declaratory relief action is not entitled to "claim preclusion" effect, but only to "issue preclusion" effect based on comment e to section 33 of the Restatement Second of Judgments (hereinafter sometimes referred to as section 33).
Aerojet seeks to distinguish Bankers on the ground that the insurer there sought to resist the insureds' action for attorney fees on the basis of the same policy provisions that were the subject of the prior action.

 SPACE.com -- Pratt & Whitney will acquire Aerojet-General's space-propulsion unitto form a new U.S. rocket-engine ...
Both Aerojet and Pratt and Whitney have chosen Russian rocket engines for their latest space booster projects instead of attempting to develop a purely domestic U.S. design.
Aerojet began importing Russian-made NK 33 engines into the U.S. in 1997.
But it is in today's space program that Aerojet played a big role in the American and foreign efforts at developing space, mixing designs that use both solid and liquid fuel.

 Aerojet-General Corporation v. Transport Indemnity Co.(1997) * California
Here, for example, Aerojet conceded at an early stage that it was the source of the TCE pollution around its Sacramento facility, and it agreed in principle to pay the costs of cleanup; thereafter, the dispute shifted to issues such as the extent of the pollution and the most cost-effective method of cleanup.
By requiring Aerojet's insurers to foot the bill for all site investigation that might have proved useful to the defense effort, without regard to whether the site investigation was also necessary to remedy the harm caused by the intentional toxic pollution, the majority effectively compels at least partial indemnity coverage for an intentional tort.
Instead, the majority concludes that Aerojet's contracts with INA and its other insurers were irrelevant, that the language in the "other insurance" clauses was without effect, and that Aerojet never assumed the risk that a loss might occur during the period it was insured by INA's limited cash flow policies.

ATSDR - Health Consultation - Aerojet General Corporation
Aerojet is concerned that the reference might leave the reader with the impression that toxicologists do not consider impact to the thyroid as the focus of the evaluation or it might cause the reader to think that toxicologists view the child's thyroid as not understood.
Aerojet believes that it would be inappropriate for the Health Consultations to be construed as indicating that children are at risk at the provisional RFD or that exposure to the higher concentrations before well shut down would be associated with any health impact.
Aerojet does not believe that it is appropriate to conclude that there "may" have been a "health hazard." If language as to hazard is described, it should not be separated from the DHS assumptions about exposure nor should it be stated without the conclusion as to the unlikeliness of any impact.

Mangini v. Aerojet General   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
Aerojet demurred, claiming the complaint failed to state a cause of action and was barred by the applicable statutes of limitation.
Aerojet contended that all of the claims leveled against it by the Mangini family were barred by the statute of limitations, and that no amendment to the complaint could escape this bar.
The court noted that only Aerojet had conducted any environmental testing on the plaintiffs' property, and that this testing was not complete either in terms of assessing the extent of contamination, the nature of cleanup activities that were necessary, or the cost to conduct that cleanup.

 Aerojet
The next generation sounding rocket, the Aerobee, designed by Aerojet and assembled at Douglas Aircraft's Santa Monica, California plant (where the WAC had seen the light of day) was its direct descendant.
The Aerobee broke ranks with the WAC Corporal in one significant respect : it became a vehicle devoted solely to the scientific exploration of the atmosphere, and was not the progenitor of a new class of military rockets.
Van Allen had visited Aerojet in 1946, " to survey its rocket capabilities. " When he returned East, he enlisted navy support for the construction of the Aerobee; A 45AL-2600 Aerojet liquid propellant motor powered Aerobee.
