		undreds of fables are attributed to Aesop, who is dated to have lived around 620 B.C. (although his historical existence as a person is questionable.) These popular "children's" tales are still widely read, and their moral significance is as pertinent today as when they were written.
		When Fables Studios first began production of the cartoons, the medium was still in its infancy and film makers did not yet have the benefit of adding sound to their films.

		Aesop's Fables, Contents is one place where they can be found.
		Both Grimm's fairy tales and Aesop's fables are available on CD ROM in illustrated versions but I think part of the joy of reading is creating the pictures to illustrate the stories in your own head.

		James Baskett who protrayed Uncle Remus in the film is both the first live action actor and first african american hired by the Disney for a film.
