		I was given this album for my birthday in June but it was August before I got around to really listening to it.
		It is an album of true emotion, feeling and understanding, with soulful ballads including "Hold Me" and "I Knew I Loved You" - this album can be related to so many issues we face in life that it is like a SOUNDTRACK TO LIFE in itself.

		Darren Hayes gave the voice to both albums (actually he has a solo album, but isn't as good as the ones that he made as Savage Garden), this two guys are from Australia and they both wrote all the songs.
		For this song, which is in my opinion the best on the album, Hayes and Jones have drawn inspiration from nature in writing the marvellous lyrics: the song evokes sensuous images of animals running in the jungle with "the wind in my hair and the sand at my feet".
		It's somewhat sappy, certainly not anything edgy, but Affirmation is a solid offering from a group that were very well on their way to being the next Simon and Garfunkel in terms of a talented male duo churning out timeless, unoffensive, and altogether enchanting pop music.
