Amazon.co.uk: The Best of Delerium: Music
I discovered Delerium fairly recently, as i was re-listening to an old pop compilation (Now 47) and i though "i quite like this song", this song being "silence".
Sadly, Delerium albums are very hard to come by, with their disting lack of publicity in the UK (of my form of 80, about 5 of us have heard of them, although with my advice many more are fans now).
Delerium started out as a more ambient group with none of the ethereal vocals that fans are so used to hearing.

 DELERIUM
But Delerium certainly isn't coming out unnoticed after the success of 'Silence.' Five years after the song became an international smash, topping the dance charts in the U.S., Britain, and more, Leeb is still modestly amazed by the song's popularity.
Leeb is the architect behind 'Chimera's' sonically uplifting and diverse soundscape, but, as has always been the case with Delerium, he had plenty of help in bringing his vision to fruition.
"The two guys who invented Delerium and put out pretty classy records together have reunited after doing their own things for a while and have put together what I think is, in some ways, the best record we've ever done," he says.

Delerium -- Poem. Nettwerk Records, 2000.    Last Sigh Magazine
Delerium began in 1987 by Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber as a creative outlet for ideas that they felt didn't truly mix with the hard industrial sound of their band Frontline Assembly.
The sound on this album is exactly as one would expect from the more recent Delerium releases, with the sort of happy electronics and very breezy instrumentals over a backdrop of world influenced rhythms and Gregorian chants.
The last few albums have changed that formula slightly, adding heavenly female vocals for a slightly more pop edge, their last album, karma, included the song silence with vocals by Sarah McLaughlin, which topped the overseas single charts.

After all, Delerium has become and remained the most successful project in terms of commercial success now.
Delerium started out as a sideproject around 1987 where Bill and Rhys (on the debut Faces Forms and Illusions it was Bill and Michael Balch) could let loose their other side of music.
In the autumn of 2003, Delerium absolved their first tour ever, a north american tour with Conjure One as support.

Auralgasms Artist - Delerium - Bio, Discography, Tour Dates, Downloads and Samples
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that Harland wrote and sings on a new song from Delerium called "Above The Clouds".
From 1987 to 1997, Delerium recorded over ten albums, mostly for Nettwerk and Dossier.
FORMED: 1986 One in a multitude of mostly indistinguishable aliases used by Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber (alongside Frontline Assembly, Intermix, Synaesthesia and Noise Unit) before their breakup in 1996, Delerium was probably the most prolific -- though Frontline Assembly was undoubtedly the most well-known.

After so many years, what made Delerium decide to finally tour?
In recent years, Delerium has proven to be their most commercially successful venture.
Originally a dark, soundtrack-style side project, it has evolved to include a variety of guest vocalists and a more traditional song-based structure.

 Amazon.co.uk: Afterglow: Music
On Afterglow, her first studio album since 1997's Surfacing, McLachlan's music is as tempered as ever; at times, even the piano chords at the heart of the sound are tucked neatly beneath layer upon layer of strings and overdubbed voices.
So for all you Sarah fans get out there and buy this CD it won't disappoint you for all you newcomers welcome to Sarah McLachlan her music will touch you in a way you've not been touched before.....she's deep and her music infectious.
From the first second of track one "Fallen" you can tell it's Sarah, the cd has her music qualities such as haunting melodies her amazing vocals and her lyrics as touching.

UKMIX - Reviews - Sarah McLachlan - Angel
Still best known here as the vocalist on Delerium's "Silence", the Canadian has built a reputation as one of the finest singer/songwriters of the moment, and is a major star in North America.
Having recently been appropriated by Westlife, and performed on ITV's Record Of The Year show in December as "their song", Sarah McLachlan's definitive original was the B-Side to her only previous solo UK hit - "Adia", a Top 30 single from late 1999.

randombeats.com - Febuary Artist of the Month - Delerium
Several remixes were released, and the song quickly became a crossover hit.
The song, while often mistakenly credited only to Sarah McLachlan, was in fact the brainchild of Bill Leeb.
After a few more side projects (including Rhys Fulber’s Conjure One and a Bill Leeb remix of a part of the Requiem for a Dream score), they would release Chimera in 2003, containing some of their most beautiful and dramatic work yet.

But with Delerium, Bill knows what he wants, and your task is to make it all come together with much less room for crazy ideas.
Delerium has turned into Bill Leeb's main concern nowadays, for obvious reasons It is the best selling project he has ever launched.
Although criticised by some for having formulaic song writing and cheesy lyrics, they are respected for their mixture of high-tech soundscapes, catchy hook lines and devastating beats.

The collection seems extremely well thought out-all tracks are mixed into each other excellently and while there are a few different mixes of the same songs(3 mixes of 'Silence', for example), unlike with other remix albums it isn't noticeable due to the quality and varied nature of all the tracks.
Most of the mixes are the type of song that Delerium have recently become famous for(Trancey but chilled, gorgeous female vocals) and add new dimensions to already great songs.
This is a collection of remixes of Delerium's most recent work(Tracks taken from Karma, Poem and Semantic Spaces).

Silence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For the song by Delerium, see Silence (song).
Silence has been a part of the rituals surrounding Armistice Day since its inception, after the idea was first proposed by an Australian journalist, Edward George Honey, and later implemented by King George V of the United Kingdom.
The normal British convention is two minutes of silence (though Buckingham Palace suggested one minute for Diana, Princess of Wales on 6 September 1997).

Songs like "Sweet Allure" could be Delerium cuts, but are saved from complete anonymity by their own distinct flavors (the aforementioned piece -- and several others, actually -- laying down crisp acoustic guitar over the chorus).
Still, you won't be surprised to hear that Kirsty Thirsk (of Delerium and The Rose Chronicles fame) sings on Balligomingo's debut.
Gorgeous strings on "Falling," poignant guitar on "Marooned" (I highly recommend tracking down the early version of this song, featured on the original Balligomingo sampler CD) and the searing Irish-tinged vocals of the hidden track, "Being," will have you holding your breath.

I'm not saying at all that Odyssey is a bad album - on the contrary, for Delerium fans and dance fans, this album is a must.
While the selection of remixes on Enigma's remix album (Love, Sensuality, Devotion) is varied and diverse, ranging from hard techno to softer, more relaxing drum n' bass, Delerium's similar two-disc effort (Odyssey) is somewhat bland and repetitive.
Not only do many of the remixes on the album sound the same, there are three different remixes of THE SAME SONG on the album.
