AGATHYRSI, a people of Thracian origin, who in the earliest historical times occupied the plain of the Maris (Maros), in the region now known as Transylvania.
Thyrsi is supposed to be a Scythian form of Trausoi (Trausi), a Thracian tribe mentioned by Stephanus of Byzantium.
In later times the Agathyrsi were driven farther north, and their name was unknown to the Romans in their original home.

The existence of gold in that area is borne out by Herodotus in his book "Melpomeni" 27, 104 where he says that "According to Issidones (Skythian nation) there are 'one-eyed people' and 'grypes' (winged monsters) guarding the gold...".
And he adds, "Agathyrsi (another Skythian nation) live a life of luxury and wear a lot of golden jewellery....".
That gold-bearing area must have been near the Uralia Range as it is well known that even today there is gold and other precious metals there.

This is the same opinion in the official historian circles, which calls the river Dnyster, which was known by the Scythians as the river Tyras, and was according to tradition was also the burial place of the royal Cimmerians, the Tauri.
The Agathyrsi therefore were known as the followers of the Scythian king(?dom).  AGA - TU6  meant a holy crown and also a crown of horns, which in the Mesopotamian Scythian language of the Sumerians is also meant by AGA-AN-S'U or AGANCS in Hungarian.
This is the crown given by heaven, the crown of the Magi, which before the cross had a miniature of the stag horns.
