 Academic Collaboration: Mzumbe University , Tanzania and Agder University College, Norway
The first contact between IDM and Agder College was made in 1986 when a team from IDM made a visit to several universities and colleges in Norway, including Agder College.
Agder College representatives were later invited to Tanzania, and as the outcome of meetings at Mzumbe in 1988, a document was signed specifying certain potential areas of cooperation.

In August 1994, following government measures, the six independent colleges of higher education in Aust- and Vest-Agder in the southern region of Norway, known as Sørlandet, completed a merger programme to establish Agder University College.
Agder University College has signed SOCRATES Institutional Agreements with 60 universities and colleges of higher education for the academic year 2001-02.
All in all a student flow of at least 225 is expected in 2001-2002.

It is meant to be part of a computer science project, but is also an open source project with a GPL license.
Now the author is an associate professor at the university of Tromsø, WebComp could be a basis for research on component programming (student master degree projects are available), as well as an useful web-application construction tool.
WebComp is currently actively used by Agder University College, Lillesand Rotary Clup and by myself of course.

She taught in the School of Information Science and Policy and I was an academic librarian and later taught graduate courses in children's literature in the Reading Department.
As a result of the success of both conferences and the increase in membership of the society, a third conference was held in February 2005 with Robert Dunbar of the Church of Ireland College of Education as keynote speaker.
The Children's Literature Unit at the University of Newcastle, headed by Kimberley Reynolds, in collaboration with Seven Stories: The Centre for Children's Books, made a successful bid to the UK's Arts and Humanities Research Council to fund 3 doctoral fellowships over the period 2005-2008.
