	Rough Edge: Age of Silence CD Reviews
		Like labelmates Subterranean Masquerade, Age of Silence has conceived an epic trilogy (seems like both the word and format have been disturbingly fashionable since "Star Wars" and "Lord of the Rings") and, while the lumbering pace of "Complications" is a small shade of its predecessor, it's terrific nonetheless.
		The bottom line is that Age Of Silence's music and vocals are well thought out and interestingly weaved throughout "Acceleration." The challenge lies in absorbing the entire disc as one piece, not as separate songs.
		Age Of Silence: Lazare on vocals, Extant and Kobbergaard on guitars, Eikind on bass, Winter on keyboards, and Hellhammer on drums.

	BNR Metal Pages -- Age Of Silence
		Age Of Silence features some of Norway's finest, many well known from other bands, coming together to produce some ambitious progressive/avant-garde metal music.
		This is a band that is very much a sum of its parts -- throw Winds, Solefald's vocals, and Arcturus (the calmer parts) into a blender and Age Of Silence might be the end result, with Winds being perhaps the closest soundalike of the three.
		Since the majority of the members here play in a primary band elsewhere, it remains to be seen whether Age Of Silence will end up a short-lived side project or develop into a full-time occupation.

		Still pounding away on Arcturus and Mayhem, his recent exploits have included Winds (under his real name Jan-Axel Blomberg), a band that incorporates classical and progressive metal, and this, Age of Silence.
		There are no epic 30 minute opuses on this album, just three well written and well-arranged songs that remind the listener of a heavier Yes or a less theatrical Arcturus.
