		The legend that is AGENT STEEL began in 1984 when JOHN CYRIIS and CHUCK PROFUS created the idea of forming a speed metal band with the lyrical focus centered on science fiction and extraterrestrial themes.
		AGENT STEEL then recruited 18-year-old guitar virtuoso BERNIE VERSAILLES to replace Kurt Colfelt and unleashed their debut SKEPTICS APOCALYPSE; The release date coincided with the band's first festival appearance in Montreal, Canada at the Banzai Heavy Metal Festival on August 17, 1985; along with the likes of SLAYER, METAL CHURCH, EXODUS, and HALLOWS EVE.
		AGENT STEEL made their mark incorporating all the aggressive elements of the Bay Area Thrash scene with soaring vocals inspired by Metal Gods JUDAS PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN.

		Agent Steel, known only for 2 albums, an EP, a couple of compilation tracks and two video releases (all within a 4 year period), have, thanks to their great talent, withstood the test of time and can now be recognized as one of the definitive American power metal bands.
		Though 'Agent Steel' cannot be found in the credits, 2 songs paved the way to the formation of the band: First, the Sceptre track "Taken By Force" (later to became an Agent Steel favorite): the guitar player for Sceptre was the Sao Paulo, Brazil-born John Camps, a student of G.I.T. in California.
		Agent Steel showcased for the label, and an ofter was made.

		Agent Steel managed to extend their fan base with a successful European tour, which also included Anthrax and Over Kill.
		Agent Steel had dropped their "Iron Maiden on 78 rpm" (before the time of CDs, regular vinyl records were played on a turn-table at 33 rpm) sound and had ventured more into mid tempo territory with significant Queensryche influences.
		Finally in 1999, Candlelight Records releases the third Agent Steel opus "Omega Conspiracy." Guitar duo Juan Garcia, Bernie Versailles and drummer Chuck Profus from the "Unstoppable Force" line-up now form the nucleus of Agent Steel'99, which is completed by vocalist Bruce Hall and bass player Karl Medina.

		The demand for AGENT STEEL was so high, that they headlined over RIOT and ANVIL most of the nights, and people were just going nuts!!!
		The last tour AGENT STEEL was on there were only 4 bands, and sometimes people didn't get to take showers at certain places.
