Aggborough Stadium is the ground of Kidderminster Harriers FC.
The ground was the first in the country to host a floodlit FA Cup match, when on September 14 1955 Harriers played Brierley Hill Alliance in a preliminary round replay, which Harriers won 4-2.
The passionate Kidderminster fans have a love of the stadium for it holds some very special memories for fans of the Harriers.

Looking around the stadium, the rest of Aggborough was all terracing and a world away from the new Main Stand with its shiny red seats, but the three older stands are by no means in desperate need of being replaced.
Both inside and around the stadium the surroundings are pleasant, the home fans were friendly and passionate, and Aggborough proved to be an away trip that was very enjoyable.
Aggborough may not blow you away but it is still appealing enough to make a visit worthwhile.

In 1994, Harriers were Conference champions, but were controversially refused promotion due to the Football League's tightened fire safety regulations for stadiums after the Bradford City fire disaster.
Aggborough's main stand was of wooden construction, and despite assurances a new cantilever stand would be ready for the new season (which was completed on time) and considerable west midlands media support the Football League rejected Harriers' promotion.
In 1987 Harriers went to Wembley Stadium for the FA Trophy final against Burton Albion.

I had originally planned to visit the Bescot Stadium, but engineering work on the railway lines threw that plan out of the window, so I made a last minute decision to visit Aggborough.
The only change to the ground is the new East Stand which replaced the covered terrace that I stood on when I last visited in Sept 2000.
I'm not normally one for buying food at football matches, but having heard good things about the catering at Aggborough, I sampled some of the soup that the ground is famous for.
