Agile methods assert that no process will ever make up the skill of the development team, so the role of a process is to support the development team in their work.

Agile analysis is highly iterative and incremental process where developers and project stakeholders actively work together to understand the domain, to identify what needs to be built, to estimate that functionality, to prioritize the functionality, and in the process optionally producing artifacts that are just barely good enough.

The heart of the Agile Data method is in its philosophies and its roles.
We must all recognize we need to become more agile, that we can take an agile approach to modeling and documentation, that data models don't drive object models (and vice versa), that we need new tools, and that we should work in our our separate development sandboxes.
Adopting common agile database best practices is also a very good idea.

 Agile Advice
The fact that agile methods increase return on investment, accelerate learning, increase stakeholder satisfaction, and enable better control of work are all an interesting result of this final benefit: responding to change.
This particular benefit of agile is often a little surprising to people how have believed the myths around agile that it is a chaotic-anything-goes type method.
Rather, the focus of Agile Advice is on agile methods applied to other types of work such as management, video-making, teamwork in general, creative work, training, writing, etc. Much of the material here is based on Mishkin Berteig's experiences as an agile coach, consultant or trainer to teams and management in organizations across North America.

Agile Journal - “Agile” Versus “agile” Development
In the world of software development, the term "agile" is applied to a wide variety of processes, techniques, tools, projects, and phases of the development life cycle.
At a minimum, every Agile process delivers working functionality in short, time-boxed iterations; implements early and frequent testing; involves the customer on a frequent if not full-time basis; and assumes that requirements cannot be fully defined at the start of a project, and that requirements will continually change.
Some, however, use agile as a noun, as in "Agile provides..." or "Agile lends itself to..." I find this to be quite misleading, as it's really rare to find anyone using agile everything on a project or in an organization.
