Chumbawamba - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Their first LP, Pictures Of Starving Children Sell Records (1986) was a scathing and articulate critique of the then current Live Aid concert organised by Bob Geldof, which they argued was primarily a cosmetic spectacle designed to draw attention away from the real political causes of world hunger.
It was also during this period that Chumbawamba gained some notoriety when male vocalist Danbert Nobacon poured a jug of water over the UK Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott at the 1998 Brit Awards.
It was this line-up that recorded the album A Singsong And A Scrap, released late in 2005.

Sky and Trees Records is a record label set up by United Kingdom band Chumbawamba in 1983.
They also released material by other anarcho-punk performers, including their 'sister' band The Passion Killers, Antidote and an animal rights benefit compilation, The Animals Packet.
In 1985 Chumbawamba founded Agit Prop Records, which served as the vehicle for their future releases until they gained a record contract with One Little Indian, and later, controversially, signed to EMI Records.

Cologne-bred, Berlin-based Patric C. (aka EC8OR) is one of the most prolific of the younger generation of "digital hardcore" artists combining hardcore breakbeat and gabber techno with elements of punk rock, speed metal, and experimental noise.
Using only an Amiga 500 (a cheap, somewhat obsolete desktop computer with built-in sequencing and sampling capabilities), Patric began recording in 1991 after quitting school to immerse himself in the emerging rave scene.

 ScotLit: 16th-century agit-prop
We have no text of any Scottish play before Lyndsay’s The Thrie Estaitis[1] and for that reason alone the play has a significant place in Scottish theatrical history.
Although there is evidence in various burgh records that performances of plays did take place there are no surviving texts to show what sort of plays these were.
It seems likely that dramatic activity in Scotland was similar to the European tradition of biblical or morality plays at the feast of Corpus Christi and other religious festivals and secular plays to celebrate the change of seasons.
