Agricultural cooperatives are the most prevalent type of organization in the Republic of Korea.
Cooperatives competed with corporations during the growth and development of a capitalist society but were different in their objective, concept and method.
Agricultural cooperatives in the United States of America encourage members and young staff to participate in cooperative leader training courses or workshops hosted by the Missouri University or Columbia University and run by the Young Farmers/ Cooperative Movement Conductor Programme.

Agricultural science is closely related to biological science, and agricultural scientists use the principles of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and other sciences to solve problems in agriculture.
Agricultural and food scientists should be able to work independently or as part of a team and be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Agricultural scientists are using new avenues of research in biotechnology to develop plants and food crops that require less fertilizer, fewer pesticides and herbicides, and even less water for growth.

All faculty members of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, who have agricultural research responsibility and official IAES research projects in the eight academic departments of the college, are affiliated with the IAES and receive funding to support salaries (faculty and technical support personnel) and research operations through the IAES.
The IAES is administered by the college's Associate Dean for Research or IAES Director, Greg Bohach, who has responsibility for maintaining the college's research facilities and infrastructure and is the accountable university official for all state and federal funds appropriated for agricultural research.

The College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences offers a unique opportunity for outstanding high school students to complete a rigorous program of accelerated study leading to the M.D. degree one year earlier than it is usually granted.
The curriculum is taught cooperatively among faculty of UCR and the UCLA School of Medicine, and leads in seven years to an M.D. degree from UCLA, as well as a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from UCR.

The Arlington Station is used by almost all disciplines in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and serves as an important field laboratory for College faculty from the departments of Agronomy, Animal Sciences, Biological Systems Engineering, Dairy Science, Entomology, Forest Ecology and Management, Genetics, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, and Soil Science.

The Central Valley Consortium for Agricultural Education Tech-Prep (CVCAETP) was formed through a cooperative effort between the Stanislaus County Office of Education, Modesto Junior College, and secondary schools throughout central California.
