Agumon |
 | | The name Agumon is partly derived from the Japanese word agurabana, which describes a large, flat nose, and from the suffix -mon (short for "monster") which all Digimon carry at the end of their names. |
 | | A different Agumon from the one that appears in the series drives the storyline: He entered the Real World (another name for planet Earth) as a Digi-Egg in the house of the Kamiyas, where Tai and his younger sister Kari were playing in their bedroom. |
 | | Agumon adores Masaru and considers himself to be his partner's follower, referring to Masaru as his "aniki"–Literally "big brother," but used with the same connotation as in the Japanese Yakuza, where it means "boss." During their first battle, against Kokatorimon, Agumon evolved into GeoGreymon by receiving Masaru's DigiSoul. |
