Pakistan: Khan forced out | thebulletin.org
Although Khan and KRL started out as an affiliate of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and seemed subordinate for a short while, he soon took center stage and, in many ways, became the face and voice of Pakistani nuclear policy.
Khan's work may have been shrouded in secrecy, but he himself became one of the most popular public figures in Pakistan.
Analysts here believe that Khan represented the far-right, Islamic-nationalist lobby and that his removal is an indication the government might opt for a more rational course on the nuclear issue.

Eulogising Allamah Ahmed Raza Khan, Professor said that his services as a pioneer of a religious school is known to everybody, but his achievements as a writer have not yet been properly highlighted.
Ahmed Raza himself was a towering figure, revered for his extra-ordinary memory, mental agility, and intellectual capacity, and honoured as a Mujaddid and a Shaikh.
Therefore, although Imam Ahmed Raza wrote in his book refuting the writing of Ismail Dehlvi that some of Dehlvi's writings were of kufr, he did not pass kufr fatwa on the Ismail Dehlvi because dehlvi was deceased and dehlvi could obviously not write some defense or explanation of himself.
