Because of that, Aibonito is one of the coldest towns in Puerto Rico: during Christmas, temperatures as low as 40 degrees have been reported there.
Aibonito is known for it's flowers, and every year, many visitors from other Puerto Rican areas and other countries are attracted to Aibonito's annual Festival de las Flores (Festival of the Flowers).
