As Aiden Tozer and Ada Pfautz voiced their vows at Grace Methodist Episcopal Church in Akron, April 26, 1918, there was little about the bridegroom to suggest his future worldwide reputation as a minister of the gospel and respected Christian writer.
Although Tozer had never attended a Bible school or college, the people found him to be truly on fire for the Lord and possessed by a passion for soul winning.
The Tozer family, augmented by then with the first of what eventually would be six boys and a girl, had to pray and trust God for food to eat.

When he was only a teenager, Aiden’s parents auctioned off their farm and moved the family to Akron, Ohio.
Then, late one day in 1915 as he walked home from work, Aiden noticed a small crowd of people across the street clustered around an old man who seemed to be talking to them.

Tozer was a mystic and endorsed Christian mystics - It’s baffling that so many Christian leaders who will pummel anyone who espouses Christian mysticism today give Tozer a complete pass as if he never once quoted Meister Ekhart, St. John of the Cross, or The Cloud of Unknowing.
Tozer saw that the Church of 70AD and the church of 2005 AD are to be the same Church in power, giftings, and so on.
Tozer was not a proponent of Calvinism - I can’t remember him even mentioning that word in anything he’s written, yet Calvinists seem to love him, nonetheless.
