Air Bosna Faces Grounding   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-21)
Air Bosna’s insolvency is not a result of the downward trends that have plagued the industry following the 11 September terrorist attacks.
Air Bosna management is also expecting severe problems with regard to the tickets they have already sold for flights that are likely to be grounded.
Air Bosna has only hired foreign pilots and flight attendants on temporary contracts, as it can ill afford to train Bosnians to fly the new, rented planes that replaced the older ones.

In 2001 the NATO-led Stabilization Force (SFOR) sounded alarm bells over the illegal migration of Turkish citizens when Air Bosna--Bosnia's only airline, which went bankrupt earlier this year--decided to reroute its regular flights from Istanbul to Sarajevo by first stopping in the Bosnian town of Tuzla.
SFOR said at the time that the rerouting suggested that "Air Bosna is deliberately trying to circumvent the State Border Service controls, which are not yet deployed at the Tuzla airport.
