Air Lithuania (in Lithuanian language refers to itself as "Aviakompanija Lietuva" (litterally Air Company "Lithuania")) is a regional airline based in Kaunas in Lithuania.
Air Lithuania was established as a state-owned company on 13 September 1991 after the reorganization of Aeroflot Kaunas Joint Air Detachment and started operations on 15 February 1992 on charter flights.
Air Lithuania is now owned 100% by Arijus, the Lithuanian transport and logistics company.

Air Lithuania Limited - AB Aviakompanija Lietuva - was formed on 13 September 1991 after Lithuania became the first Baltic state to become independent from the former Soviet Union.
Flying as a state-owned regional carrier based at Kaunas, Air Lithuania began operations with six ex-Aeroflot Yak-40 tri-jets and Antonov An-2 biplanes.
In September 1997 Air Lithuania was re-organised by the government, as was lithuania's other airline: Lithuanian Airlines - (LAL) - after which Air Lithuania became a fully owned subsidiary of LAL.

 Air Lithuania to add new European routes
Privately-owned carrier Air Lithuania is planning a major expansion of its ATR 42-based route network from this summer, sources say.
New roundtrips will be added between Hamburg and Luxembourg, Billund and Warsaw, and between Oslo and Gdansk.
Air Lithuania already operates between Kunas and Hamburg, Billund and Oslo, respectively, so the new flights will probably be added by extending the current routes.
