		Originally it was envisioned as Air Fighter Comics, a November 1941 collection of comic stories mainly concerning airborne adventures.
		Although the first issue sold poorly, it was retooled, and a second issue in 1942, introduced the character that became Airboy.

		In 1990, Airboy II meets a Black Terror, but he is from a world which is neither Earth-42 nor Earth-AE1.
		Publicity pics are released of a reconfigured Airboy, with Birdie now a motorcycle (leaving one to wonder why the character hasn't been renamed StreetBoy).
