The agreement was signed by Mr Tariq Kirmani, Chairman and CEO of PIA and Mr Filippo Bagnato, CEO of ATR in the presence of the General Consuls of France and Italy.

I have flown to Lahore from London by Pakistan International Airline at least once a year for a number of years.
PIA told me that it was the wrong version of 747 by which I had flow to Lahore implying that I should travel by the right version as if I have control over which aircraft I fly in.
PIA will take you between these cities in about 18 hours almost non-stop (only one stop of about an hour in Manchester, GB) There is no limit on baggage as long as it is cabin size and you can carry two bags up to 32 kg in the luggage hold.

PIA has 3 Boeings right now, there are a total 8 on order, and the delivery will continue till 2007, and the planes arriving then will be more advanced than the current boeings, this was stated by a PIA official.
At the moment PIA only has 3 planes with that interior and tvs on every seat etc. I think they need to redo the interiors of all their 747 aircraft in fact they should replace their 747 aircraft...
PIA then has some A310s which it purchased in the early 1990s so they are ok. However They have some A300s which are damn old.

I have called PIA to the attention of a colleague who would like to take his family of 5 to Europe and cannot afford the high season fares on the majors.
Oh, I believe PIA is as satisfactory as just about any other airline; although keep in mind that the low fare is going to mean that you may not enjoy the same amenities as you would on United or British Airways.
