Henry Pu Yi or Aixinjueluo Puyi (愛新覺羅‧溥儀 in pinyin: ai4 xin1 jue2 luo2 · pu3 yi2), English name Henry Aisin-gioro, (1906-1967) was the last Emperor of China.
He ascended to the throne in 1908 at the age of nearly 3 and was deposed in 1911 when the Qing dynasty fell.
In both his autobiography and the film, Aixinjueluo is portrayed as an largely innocent pawn controlled by more powerful people.

The Qing Dynasty was founded in 1616 by Aixinjueluo Nuerhachi under the reign name (Nianhao) of "Tianming".
During the last period Aixinjueluo Puyi actually ascended the throne in 1908 while the "Xuantong" reign is counted as started 1909.
During the latter part of the Qing dynasty the Empress Dowager Cixi (Born 1835), who became dowager on the death of her husband, Xianfeng, in 1861, exerted a considerable influence on the Late Qing court until she died in 1908.

     Madam Aixinjueluo’s ink and water color paintings were featured at Rider’s Art Gallery in the spring of 2001 during the University’s International Week.

On contrary, Qing monarchs were left alone because when Emperor Pu Yi abdicated, he and his empress dowager Longyu, signed a contract with the government of Republic of China, which guaranteed to continue to let the Qing monarchs reside in the imperial palace and would receive regular salary.
Also, because Qing monarchs were Manchu, they had an unique surname (which is Aixinjueluo), so they're easier to be identified.
In fact, I know a descedant of Qing is now a model in Hong Kong.
