“Akallabeth” comes from The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien, and translates as “the downfallen,” referring to the downfall of Numenor in the second age of Arda.
The subject matter of Akallabeth’s songs is based mainly on fantasy and myth.
The band’s intention is not to bend towards the common matters of everyday life, but to transcend those thoughts and transport the listener beyond the mundane.

In this instance, the anxiety he had seen in Akallabeth’s eyes was the first sign of weakness he had witness in the skin changer since this nightmare began.
Thanks to Akallabeth’s control of Aragorn, so much distrust had been sown in the soldiers against their queen, that it had been impossible for Arwen to convince them of what had befallen the kingdom.
Akallabeth was determined to kill her, blaming Arwen for all the misfortunes that had befallen the race of skin changers since the destruction of Glaurung at Nargothrond.

Before Akallabeth, lay the court of Gondor and the nobility of Middle earth, basking decadently in the celebration of the treaty that unknown to them was meaningless.
Akallabeth felt short of breath with a heart pounding so loud, it was quite possible that its sound could be heard beyond the body.
Akallabeth sought out the faces of Aragorn, Eomer, Gimli, Faramir and Imrahil and saw that they were oblivious to what was happening.

In the year 3255 of the second age, the son of Gimilkhâd married the ruling Numenorean Queen, his kinsman Tar-Miriel, and subsequently siezed the Scepter of Numenor, crowning himself Ar-Pharazon.
But they always remained separate from their northern cousins, and while they followed the Chieftan of the Dúnedain, they remembered their fealty to the Prince of Dol Amroth in the south.
And they became known as The Lost Order of the Akallabeth, both in honor of the land of Numenor and to befit their state as Rangers without a home.

Possible scam? - The Fantasy Forum
Is this the case though, because I'm fairly sure the sword dimensions quoted for this auction are exactly the same as the 'stone base' Sting, and strangely enough I've had no reply form the vendor as yet.....
Have now had a reply, stating that the item was originally bought from a website in the US, and that it's definitely the UC mini Sting but without the stone base - I am making further enquiries.
Indeed, it seems that the measurements of the miniature as we know it is 1/3rd of the original; 22" devide by 6 7/8" is about 3 (measurements form BBB website) How I came to 1 to 5, I don't know.

Also I have links to some of my favorite MUSHes web sites as well at My Other MUSHes Page (Link at Left) My two most favorites are Akallabeth and Elendor, and the reason is obvious.
Akallabeth is set in the Second Age of Tolkien mythology and Elendor is in the Third Age.
We're fairly small in comparision to Elendor (one of the web's premiere MUSHes since 1991, thank you), but we are growing and need RPers.
