The Sports Gaming Network - Hockey : NHL Breakaway 99 (N64) Review
Game designers/developers have something to learn when it comes to assists, for it forgets to award them in most cases, such as the long lead passes that set up breakaways and 2-on-1 attacks--the best way to secure credit for an assist is to set up a one-timer.
At faster game speeds all sense of a real hockey game is lost; although users have a limited number of strategic options to employ, the net impact on gameplay is minimal.
Although video game sports designers have now embraced the notion of annual editions of their games, it is only fair to judge each game in a series on its own merits, instead of looking at change for change's sake and mistaking that for improvement.

The forms akembo and akimbo are found in the 18th century, with akimbo gradually becoming the standard.

However, akimbo weapons in games also cause a number of unique problems in terms of interface and control, which usually limit their representation of these characteristics when implemented in-game.
The akimbo Colt 1911s in The Specialists are reloaded by ejecting the magazines of both guns, then putting one in the same hand as the other and inserting two magazines into the guns at once using the free hand, a technique inspired, like the guns themselves, by the film Face/Off.
Other options shown in games are to reload by gripping new magazines between thumb and middle finger while still holding the gun, then pushing them into the opposite gun with the side of the grip, or holding each gun in turn in the armpit, freeing the hand to insert a new magazine.
