Rabbi Wolfe claims that one cannot count the omer by writing the actual number of a given day; Rabbi Akiva Eiger himself maintains that writing may be a viable method for performing the counting of the omer.
Akiva Eiger, disagrees, distinguishing between a halakhic oath, which must be verbally articulated, and the omer, which may possibly be counted by writing the actual number of a given day.
The views of Rebbi Akiva Eiger's uncle and of the Ran may indicate that the mitzva of sefirat ha-omer has a deeper significance than simply keeping track of the days until Shavuot.

Returning to R' Akiva Eiger's answer, according to Rashi, just like bal yera'eh is not violated by chameitz found during Pesach so long as one has made all ncessary efforts to remove chameitz beforehand, so too the issur aseh of tashbisu cannot be violated.
R’ Akiva Eiger answers his question on the Ran by contrasting bittul with other forms of kinyanim.
R’ Akiva Eiger asks on the Ran: bittul is not merely a decision the owner of the chameitz comes to, but is a verbal declaration through which the chameitz becomes ownerless.

Akiva, the youngest son of the manufacturer and Maskil Reb Moshel Eiger, was one of the most popular personalities in the Jewish societal life of Zgierz.
Akiva did not pay attention to the fact that the greatest portion of his school colleagues belonged and agitated for various Socialist, leftist groups on the Jewish street, and was not influenced by their slogans.
Akiva Eiger was greatly beloved by the Zgierz youth.

You can read in all sorts of things, but there is no consensus of the "classic meforshim." But Rav Tzvi Hirsch Kalisher, a Talmud of Rabbi Akiva Eiger, wrote a sefer about returning en masse to Eretz Yisrael which RAE gave his haskama to.
Of course we all know how much haskamot mean, but hopefully one assumes he actually read the sefer, especially since he accepts (as do we all) the halacha lemaissa chiddush in the sefer that kohanim today are vadai kohanim, not safek kohanim.
Yes R Akiva didnt believe the messianic era had allready arrived, but he held BK was the moshiach to bring it.

Eiger subsequently turned the matter over to his son-in-law, the renowned Rabbi Moses Schreiber (the "Chasam Sofer") of Pressburg.
While assenting in principle to the legality of Kalischer's proposal, the latter noted, with a sense of realism lacking in the young Kalischer, that the Muslims were unlikely to consent to the construction of a Jewish Temple on the site of their mosque.
With very few exceptions (including Rabbi Akiva Eiger), the views that had been voiced for and against Kalischer's proposal had been drawn precisely along ideological lines, between the traditionalists and the reformers.

Akiva Eiger answers (in one approach) that the chazaka and the shtar have no effect and do not influence the outcome.

As the poor man looked on in great relief, Rabbi Eiger remarked, "it seems as if the table or the floor is shaking, doesn't it?" He had been willing to make himself look careless (and to soil a nice tablecloth) just to spare the shame of another.
The Talmud states that when Rabbi Akiva prayed the Amidah, which requires one to remain stationary, he would begin praying in one corner of the room, and later be found in another corner because he would so completely lose himself in meditation that he was unaware that he was moving about (Berachos 31a).
It is Rabbi Akiva, in whom the fiery devotion was manifested in his prayers, who said that the principle that underlies all of Torah is "love your neighbor as yourself." It is Rabbi Akiva who also said that man is precious because he was created in the Divine image, because he saw godliness in everyone.

In his footnote Rabbi Akiva Eiger raises an interesting challenge to Tosefots approach.
Perhaps G-d was merely confirming his logic of equating public desecration of Shabbat with idol worship, a comparison that does not extend to desecration in a private setting.
Although Rabbi Akiva Eiger offers no resolution to this question it may be suggested that the answer lies in the fact that G-ds instructions to Moshe included the command to put the violator to death and to stone him.

Rabbi Akiva Eiger, zt"l, remarked that the Rishonim disagree as to the procedure of the brothers' inheritance (Hagahos Shulchan Aruch, Choshen Mishpat 281).
In other words, the deceased father is first regarded as having inherited the estate from his departed son and then the inheritance is passed from the father's estate on to the living son (the surviving brother).
The Rambam, as Rabbi Akiva Eiger proves, though, maintains that brothers inherit from each other directly, just as sons inherit from their father.

Akiva Eiger ("Teshuvot R. Akiva Eiger," 1st ed., no. 8) argues that general mitasek (prohibited acts other than Shabbat, performed unawares) is considered a violation, and merely exempts one from bringing a korban chatat, while melekhet machshevet mitasek of Shabbat involves a rabbinical violation, but not a Torah violation.
According to R. Akiva Eiger, the former case fulfills the requirements of melekhet machshevet; yet, although the intended action was realized, the act nonetheless falls into the GENERAL category of mitasek since it was performed unawares.
This is because many poskim take the position of R. Akiva Eiger that mitasek does commit a violation; furthermore, we should strive to minimize any acts of chillul shabbat.

Furthermore, the Talmud[5], when discussing the prohibition of a kohein marrying a chalutza, states that because the prohibition is only derabonan, if a kohein went ahead and married a woman who is a safek chalutza, b’dieved (after the fact) we would say that they need not get divorced: safek derabonon lekulah.
