Cons: While my complaints about misusing mythology were small to begin with, the final scenarios in the game were increasingly annoying to watch.
Or, it doesn't negate that there are established mythologies surrounding these supernatural beings from which to draw when writing about them.
Its not so much that using kami or oni would be uninteresting to the japanese, no more than refering to angels or such would be boring to to native audience, its that foreign audiences would have a hard time dealing with it.
