	Group Faults Akwa Ibom Governorship Debate
		Centre for Policy and Rights Issues (CPRI), a non-governmental organisation in Akwa Ibom State, has picked holes in the just-concluded political debate organised for governorship aspirants in the state by Ibom People’s Congress (IPC), describing it as an attempt to confuse the electorate and disrupt the political system.
		In a statement in Uyo, the group argued that political debates are usually organised for flag-bearers of political parties and not aspirants, and advised the organisers of the debate to wait for candidates to emerge before conducting the exercise.
		The statement signed by CPRI Executive Director, Mbet Okpongete, frowned at what it described as an attempt to disrupt the harmonious political climate in the state, arguing that the entire idea was grossly misplaced and uncalled for.
