	Al D'Amato - An Overview
		Al D'Amato, born August 1, 1937 in Brooklyn, N.Y., grew up in Long Island, N.Y. He is best known as a New York Senator who spent time with his constituents in face to face meetings.
		From 1965 to 1968, Al D'Amato served as administrator of Nassau County.
		D'Amato defeated Republican incumbent Sen. Jacob Javits for the Republican nomination, and later defeated Democratic Congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman with 45% plurality victory for the Senate seat.

		Senator Al D’Amato served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs where he helped the family members of Holocaust victims recoup over a billion dollars that had previously been stuck in Swiss Banks.

		Al Pacino gives a typically great performance with some very powerful dialogue, as he portrays the Devil embodied in a lawyer who doesn't cause havoc, but rather lets people choose to intentionally be the cause of their own disgrace.
		The plot moves forward with good speed, and a surprise appearance by New York politician Al Damato lends a credibility twist to the story.
		There are undertones of a 'horror story' here, although that is not what this is...certainly some audience members with weaker dispositions (like my wife!) will be a little more than disturbed by the odd scene, but that still won't keep them from being glued to the screen and absorbed in the story.
